The latest release in “The Archive of American Television Presents” DVD series is now available. The art of acting has rarely been demonstrated with such brilliance as in Sir John Gielgud’s Ages of Man. Adapted from George Rylands’s anthology, the one-man performance features a selection of Shakespearean soliloquies and sonnets exploring the journey of life from birth to death.

The Television Academy’s Conference Center doubled as “Emmy University” to the twenty college professors accepted to the Foundation’s 2010 Faculty Seminar in November. For five days, the professors returned to the classroom to hear from industry experts through discussions, presentations and interactions with major studios, production companies, the networks and their top production and programming people.

It was a great day to be on the fairway September 20th when the Television Academy Foundation hosted its 11th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic.
The event held in Toluca Lake, California brought together an array of stars and industry executives to come out and play to support the Foundation, raising funds for its educational and archival programs.

High School Students Explore the Industry"

This past summer, the Los Angeles Area Peer Group joined with the Academy Foundation in fostering the Los Angeles Unified School District’s WEE (Work Experience Education) Program, which embraces the tenet that students are more successful in the workplace when they are paired with jobs that suit their interests and aptitudes.
Twelve students from the Los Angeles Unified School District (six juniors and six seniors) were paired with six departments (video, audio, directing, lighting, script, and talent coordination) for the production of the 2010 Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards on July 31, 2010.
